Born Jessica Ann Simpson in Richardson, Texas, she had a fairly normal childhood being the loving daughter of the youth minister and using her beautiful voice in the church. She even auditioned for the Mickey mouse club but lost the role to present Pop star Britney Spears. That dint stop Jessica from wanting to be heard on the radio and hence with support from her family she managed to release her album and send it to the Head of Columbia records who immediately latched onto her soulful voice and signed her in. Her journey till now has gained her countless awards and 3 major albums reaching gold and platinum sales!
She released her first album which topped third in the billboards and she toured along with Ricky martin and the boy bands which further increased her success. Her relationship with boy band artist Nick Lachey also gained her positive attention and she was the most talked about celebrity at that time.
She even started a reality show called ‘newly weds, Jessica and nick’ featuring herself and her husband. Being the born performer she is her cool attitude and actions drew a huge audience for the show and which won the people’s choice best reality show award. She has been a positive influence on young girls and teens due to her famous comment that she had remained a virgin until her wedding night.
Jessica Simpson always likes to look feminine, sexy and bold, and hence her clothing line always has a compulsory variety of hip hugging denim pants, skirts, hoodies, all in soft shades of blue and pink. She has definately been an influence on the fashion industry with the young girls wanting to copy her style of clothes, jewellery and hair. With her love of jewellery it probably wont be long before she is wearing lovelinks jewellery or something else from this stylish range. She always likes her hair blonde with long locks paired up with wispy side swept bangs. She has also been widely known for skin baring costumes and oozing sexuality seen in most of her album videos and has also been voted as one of the most sexiest female artists ever. Her younger sister Ashlee Simpson has also taken up her elder sister’s route into music and singing and has been receiving acclamations around the world.
She made her first film appearance in the movie Dukes of Hazzard and the critics found her acting skills refreshingly good due to her natural comfortable feel in front of the cameras. She has been acting in movies from time to time ever since. Jessica Simpson has proved that she has a rare mix of raw talent and a lovely fresh face to latch onto the mind and soul of people around the world. Music or movie, it is way too clear that she has a long and good career after her come back in 2009.
